Comparing numbers to our Covid years of 2020 and 2021 is almost foolish as one can’t imagine we will ever see 2 years like that again with mortgage rates in the 2’s and 3’s and the work from home phenomenon. So, how does May 2022 compare to May 2019?
May 2022 is much stronger than 3 years ago as we had much less inventory (44% less), 20% fewer new listings, but yet buyer demand remains through the roof especially when you look at the price increases and especially the HUGE increase in sales price above list price. Three years ago homes still sold for a discount. Those were the “good ‘ol days”.
