Why No Help Is Getting to Tenants & Landlords

The Colorado Apartment Association reported that 97% of apartment renters paid their rent in July. The national average payment rate is 94.5%. And evictions in Colorado are down 52% from pre-Covid levels. According to U.S. Census Bureau estimates 43k Coloradans have self-reported as being fearful of eviction. Why is this number so high when you consider this fact—Congress gave $444 million to the State and another $240 million to local governments for rental assistance. But, the State has only disbursed $33 million of this money or less than 10%. HOLY COW!!!
