Modern Women/Modern Vision: Works from the Bank of America Collection (May 1–Aug. 28, 2022) – Celebrate the bold and dynamic contributions of women to the development and evolution of photography in the 20th century.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with Waxahatchee  (May 3–4, 2022) – See this American singer-songwriter and guitarist, plus special guests, for a soulful evening at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Cinco de Mayo Denver (May 7–8, 2022) – A weekend filled with food, fun and culture, the annual festival puts the spotlight on The Mile High City’s vibrant Latino population.

Traitor, Survivor, Icon: The Legacy of La Malinche  (Thru May 8, 2022) –  Examine the historical and cultural legacy of La Malinche. Reviled as a traitor but also hailed as the mother of Mexico, Malinche is an enigmatic figure whose legacy has been the subject of controversy, legend and adulation from the 1500s through the present day.

The Power of Horses  (Thru May 8, 2022) – Horses, humans, and history come together in an exciting new exhibition on the first floor of the History Colorado Center.

Billy Strings (May 12-13, 2022) – This bluegrass musician will be playing under the stars at Red Rocks Amphitheatre for two nights.

‘Quixote Nuevo’ (May 13–June 12, 2022) – Set in the fictional modern-day Texas border town of La Plancha, Quixote and his luckless but trusty sidekick, Sancho, embark on a fantastical quest in search of long-lost love. Infused with imagination, comedy and Tejano music, Quixote Nuevo reveals the joys and perils of facing down death and becoming the hero of your own story.

Mazes & Brain Games (May 19–Sept. 25, 2022) – Maneuver your way through mind-bending adventures, 3-D puzzles and full-body games in this exhibition.

Luke Combs  (May 21, 2022) – This rising country star will be performing at Denver’s largest venue, Empower Field at Mile High.

‘Cats’ (May 24–29, 2022) – The record-breaking musical spectacular by Andrew Lloyd Webber, which has captivated audiences in over 30 countries and 15 languages, is now on tour across North America.’

Denver Day of Rock  (May 28, 2022) – This free music festival takes place on four stages in LoDo/downtown Denver. The headliners are Chris Isaak and Lauren Dunn. Also featuring: Augustus, Austin Young Band, Busty and the Bass, Dave Jordan, J & the Causeways, Lola Rising, Mary Louise Lee Band, Pimps of Joytime, Pine Leaf Boys, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, the Green House Band, the Stone Foxes and Trevor Michael. The event unites the community through music and family-friendly entertainment while also raising funds to help Amp the Cause, which supports local nonprofits.

Immersive Van Gogh (Thru May 28, 2022) – Renowned for transforming venues into unforgettable art experiences, Immersive Van Gogh strives to highlight the unique architecture of its spaces while integrating influences from its history and community.

Ziggy Marley & Stephen Marley and Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals  (May 29, 2022) – A fitting tribute to Bob Marley’s 75th birthday, these reggae icons will be bringing it to Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Tears for Fears (May 29, 2022) – After more than 40 years, the band is still topping charts. See them at Levitt Pavilion as part of their Tipping Point World Tour.

Frida: Immersive Dream (Thru May 30, 2022) – Lose yourself in 500,000 cubic feet of monumental projections animating Frida Khalo’s oeuvre. Wander through entrancing, moving images that highlight brush strokes, detail, and color – truly illuminating the mind and revealing the emotions behind her radical genius.

‘Dear Evan Hansen’ (May 31–June 5, 2022) – Winner of 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and the 2018 Grammy Award, “Dear Evan Hansen” is the deeply personal and profoundly contemporary musical about life and the way we live it.
